February 25, 2016 - The appointment of Sonja Glauert (37) as Head of Customer Relationship Management (CRM), previously Bosch eBike Service Manager, at the beginning of February brings an experienced eBike expert on board to enhance the COBI team. Christian Lortz (37) previously worked as Product Manager at SMART technologies and joined COBI as Senior Product Manager at the beginning of January. Sonja Glauert (37) has joined the COBI team as Head of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) from the beginning of February. The Stuttgart native, with a keen interest in culture and technology, has an impressive track record of experience gained at Volkswagen, IBM, Siemens and TV5MONDE in Paris and Munich. Her experience within the eBike market began in 2006 with the import of various eBike brands to France. Most recently she spent almost six years in charge of building the Bosch eBike Service in Europe, before also extending this to the US and Australian markets. “Ensuring a successful market launch for COBI in all target markets is my short-term goal. In the mid-term I aim to contribute to COBI becoming established as a market leader, firmly anchoring the topic of connectivity within the bike and eBike markets and promoting its expansion”, is how Sonja Glauert explains her motivation. “In addition, the COBI products and service offerings should contribute to a safe, innovative and customer-friendly sustainable mobility for all.“ Christian Lortz (37) joined COBI in January as Senior Product Manager. He previously spent twelve years working for the Canadian firm SMART Technologies, including work on mobile applications and interactive whiteboards. He was employed in various roles there until 2015, including Product Marketing and Product Management. He also spent several years overseeing Product Strategy for the EMEA region.
He defines his Senior Product Manager role at COBI as providing the interface between the users, user-experience and product development. As a passionate mountain biker, Lortz is excited about his new role: “I’m really looking forward to directing the feedback from our customers, plus the innovations from the team, into new products, functions and improvements which will benefit every COBI user. The smartphone, as the central element of the user experience, enables ever more exciting and meaningful possibilities for an intelligent biking experience”.
Ken Kölzer (29) has been a part of the COBI team since February 2016. The cycling enthusiast from Dusseldorf joined the Startup as Mechanical & Quality Engineer. His previous professional experience will be put to good use for COBI in product development and quality testing. In 2010 he completed his dual studies, specializing in Mechatronics, at the DHBW Baden-Württemberg and went on to spend two years working at Braun GmbH in Kronberg im Taunus as a laboratory engineer for product testing. “I want to play my part in the successful product launch of COBI, and ensure that the quality meets the high demands and expectations”, explained Kölzer.
